This role will predominantly see you working with lower ability students across Key Stages 3 & 4 providing intervention support in your subject specialism. You will also be providing full classroom support as and when needed to support the delivery of the National Curriculum. You will be working towards raising standards of achievement ensuring that learners make expected progress. You will have the opportunity to organise and deliver your own intervention classes to support students within your department, to not only find a new confidence and understanding of your subject, but a new found excitement and interest.
You will need to be versatile, adaptable and enthusiastic graduate to work in the, with a drive to work in education. Candidates will require initiative, excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of your subject. You will have a minimum of a 2:1 degree in an English related subject. The school are looking for a graduate who will be willing to be proactive about their own learning and development to have maximum impact within school.
All staff are to share in the responsibility for the ethos of the school and the well-being of all pupils and staff. You will have access to an experienced and knowledgeable mentor, who will guide you through your training and development at the school. The school is located in a fabulous location, easily accessible from Birmingham train stations and surrounding areas. The school is located to the West of Birmingham and is easily accessed from the city centre.
