A London based consultancy are looking for a Graduate Cost Modeller / Financial analyst / Cost engineer to become part of a major Business Intelligence (BI) initiative, designed to provide cost data tools to users, enabling them to examine the full costs of providing military capability, analyse options, model scenarios, identify cost reduction opportunities, benchmark financial performance, improve cost control and enhance financial programming.

Output costing presents an organisation's costs in terms of the output delivered; by directly assigning or indirectly attributing operational costs to the outputs they provide. Output costing is not a pool of overhead attributed to outputs, but a combination of direct and indirect costs focussed on what the organisation is designed to deliver. Output costing enables;

  • decisions about appropriate outputs to deliver outcomes,
  • identification of opportunities for improving performance and efficiency and,
  • modelling for planning and forecasting.

Essential skills and experience:

  • a degree in a numerical subject ie. Maths, statistics, economics
  • Advanced excel skills or experience
