Remuneration: £30,000-£35,000 + £10,000-£20,000 bonus

The role of the Graduate Civil Structural Engineer - Waterproofing will involve:

  • Office based technical position, working closely with our clients field sales team who promote an exclusively distributed range of structural waterproofing and gas protection products as well as a portfolio of construction and brickwork accessories including; liquid applied waterproofing, damp proof courses & membranes, structural drainage, building chemicals, specialist sealants, foams & fillers etc.
  • Responsible for CAD drawings
  • Liaising with architects, engineers and contractors
  • Creating schemes and quotations for sale steams to present to clients
  • Commercially orientated role, assisting in the generation of projects
  • Visiting construction sites as and when required to carry out product training / checking, carry out CPD’s etc.
  • Working as a the lead technical interface between the field sales team and technical department
  • Autonomous role, you will be expected to manage your own diary
  • Working on projects up to £5m+ (typical material value to our client 3-4%)
  • Typical projects within the commercial, housing (private developments), civil engineering, transportation and Infrastructure

The ideal applicant will be a Graduate Civil Structural Engineer - Waterproofing Materials with:

  • Civil Engineer Graduate or technical placement
  • Understands technical drawings and ideally structural waterproofing
  • CAD drawings proficient
  • Strong technical ability
  • Autonomous in nature / ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to generate new enquiries through technical understanding of client’s requirements
  • Excellent presenter, ability to conduct CPD’s
  • Specific product knowledge of liquid applied waterproofing, damp proof courses & membranes, structural drainage, building chemicals, specialist sealants, foams & fillers is not essential
  • Highly motivated, conscientious, pro-active and organised approach
  • Knowledge of building construction techniques, waterproofing principles, British standards
