Embark upon an ICE approved training scheme and gain invaluable project experience with an award winning independent civil and structural consultancy. They are looking for an additional team member with a 2:1 civil engineering degree from a reputable university who wants to prepare to become a chartered civil engineer. You should ideally have between six months to four years’ experience. The practice works across the civil, structural and environmental sectors. Reporting to the civil engineering team leader you will receive mentoring and support whilst gaining experience on civil engineering schemes valued up to £100 million. This will involve assisting with the design of roads and drainage infrastructure, preparing flood risk assessments, feasibility studies and site surveys. You should have knowledge of Auto CAD and be interested in learning new design and analysis software. The position will regularly bring you in contact with longstanding and valued clients, so good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The company places great emphasis on continued professional development, there are on going CPD activities.
