Graduate Buyer

Graduate Buyer required on a permanent basis for a business based in Wiltshire. This opportunity would be ideal for a candidate with a wealth of experience within Purchasing/Procurement, seeking further career progression and development with a growing department. As a Graduate Buyer, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Purchase of Raw Materials in line with Delivery requirements, ensuring high quality and effective cost plans.

  • Regular cost reporting to senior management team, collecting, reporting and analyzing procurement related data.

  • Assisting with the management of suppliers, focusing on continuous improvement activities and performance reviews.

  • Reviewal of contracts and managing tender processes.

  • Effectively using an MRP system.

  • Responding and dealing with transactional issues.

  • Liaising with Internal Departments to receive regular updates on material requirements.

To be considered for the role of Graduate Buyer, you must possess the following skills, experience and educational background:

  • Degree in Business Related Function/CIPS Qualified or working towards CIPS.

  • Previous experience within a Purchasing based role would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Knowledge or experience in using MRP systems.

  • Understanding and previous experience of cost reduction plans, working within budgets.

  • Possess excellent analytical skills.
