Core Responsibilities:

  • Support requirements gathering and definition on small and large scale projects to improve our operational and commercial capabilities
  • Write well thought out, clear, and detailed user stories and communicate these effectively to different stakeholders
  • Brief developers and programmers on your requirements and work closely with the development team and project manager to create realistic plan to deliver against
  • Identify gaps in product/service portfolio in collaboration with users and stakeholders
  • Identify cross operating brand and external integration opportunities
  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of business analysis processes and procedures within the team and wider business, including requirements definition

Tasks undertaken -

  • Identify and test 3rd party, supplier, partner inputs and interfaces
  • Contribute to gap analysis in product/service portfolio
  • Scope & Design
    • Requirements gathering
    • Estimation: Resource, Time, Cost
    • Creating user stories and specifications
    • Produce solutions ready for development
  • Review, Assess, Test
    • Review & scoping of options, in response to client/business problems
    • Assess & review available technology to enable solutions
    • Analysis of impact to Service Delivery function
  • Test & Develop
    • Support user acceptance testing to ensure business requirements are met
  • Implement
    • Input to project plans & docs
    • Consultancy & Advice when transitioning to Service Delivery function
    • Responsibility for definitions & documented new or changed processes for implementation to Service Delivery function (incl. ISO)

Measures of success in this role –

  • Requirements defined and signed off that satisfy both business users and developers
  • Measurable improvements to our services being delivered
  • Excellent working relationships across the Service Design and Development function
  • High degree of stakeholder engagement and feedback
  • Business Analysis tasks completed to time in project plan

Essential Specialist skills/Knowledge/Systems Experience –

  • Ability to engage, develop and collaborate with team members and wider business
  • Curiosity and passion for technology and business improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage people at all levels of the business
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
