The successful candidate will assist in the effective delivery of the Building Control function and to ensure that the Council’s obligations under the Building Act and associated legislation with regard to the health, safety, welfare and convenience of persons in or about buildings are administered and enforced. Once appointed, the successful candidate will ensure legislative requirements in respect of climate change and access to buildings are complied with whilst working within a competitive market. Your responsibilities will be varied, and include a multitude of tasks from site inspections to completing enforcement actions. If you hold a qualification in Building Control, Building Surveying, or something similar, have relevant experience and are looking to take the next step in your career, we would like to hear from you.
