This visionary primary school in Lewisham is searching for an ambitious psychology graduate to work on a 1:1 basis with a year 6 boy who has emotional and behavioural difficulties in this Graduate Behaviour Mentor.

This is the perfect opportunity for an aspiring educational psychologist to gain school based experience whilst earning £375 per week as a Graduate Behaviour Mentor prior to being accepted onto your Masters qualification!

The school is located in Lewisham and is easily accessible from surrounding areas via Tube, train and bus. The school has a highly regarded inclusion department which is headed by a SENCO dedicated to improving behaviour standards of children with ASC, ADHD and other behavioural difficulties so they can get the most out of their learning.

In this Graduate Behaviour Mentor position you will be working alongside the well renowned SEN team which value the innovative input of graduates. As a Graduate Behaviour Mentor, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with a year 6 boy with Autism who often acts out in class and needs an inspirational role model to keep him focused on the lesson and allow him to reach his full potential academically. You will be supported by the SENCO every step of the way and training will be provided as and when you need it in this Graduate Behaviour Mentor position.

The school is searching for a psychology graduate who aspires to be an educational psychologist. You must have excellent communication skills as an integral part of this Graduate Behaviour Mentor role is liaising between parents, staff, external professionals and the child himself, and this is vital for his development. Previous experience working with children with Autism or ADHD is preferable, however not necessarily in a school based setting to be successful in Graduate Behaviour Mentor position.
