Graduate Administrator for Leading Private Academy

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our client, a leading private school in the North London area, as an Administrator on a permanent basis. The role will entail being the first point of contact for visitors and parents alongside providing administration support to the wider team.

This role requires the successful applicant to have an excellent telephone manner, a high degree of professionalism and have a high attention to detail. Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a high quality of administrative assistance and support to the school

  • Act as a first point of contact on the phone and in person for visitors, enquirers, parents, contractors etc.

  • Provide the main point of contact for incoming telephone calls, ensuring the smooth transition of any transferred calls

  • Liaise between teachers and parents, as well as with cleaning, catering and maintenance staff

  • To ensure that all visitors to the site are properly signed in and issued with the appropriate pass

  • Monitoring student attendance and follow up with absences in line with the school policy

  • Manage the club bookings for afterschool clubs

  • Provide additional administrative support to the wider team as required

Administrator Key Skills and Experience:

  • A strong customer-service ethic with the desire to provide a high standard of professional service within the role

  • A minimum of two years of administration or customer service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a pleasant and confident telephone manner

  • Excellent people skills with the ability to interact confidently with a range of people

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to be precise and accurate around data entry and reporting

  • Good ICT skills (e.g. Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • A methodical and efficient approach to office procedures and record-keeping
