NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated GP with a Special Interest in Psychiatry to work with the North Ayrshire Community Mental Health Team based at the Three Towns Resource Centre.

The successful applicant will work flexibly alongside 5.0 WTE General Adult Consultants in North Ayrshire, providing care and treatment for mental health patients, with appropriate support and supervision. Acute inpatients beds are sited locally in our purpose-built unit, Woodland View, within Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership has a well-established Community Mental Health Team supported by a 24 hour Crisis Service.

The Terms and Conditions of service are as per those agreed with NHS Ayrshire & Arran for GPs with a Special Interest outlined in the accompanying job description, and the post is offered on a 2 programmed activities basis. Appropriately experienced applicants must have Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practice and be on the GP Register, as well as the NHS Ayrshire & Arran Performers list, with 5 years post-graduate medical experience.

The post may involve travel and a full driving licence is desirable.
