Our client is a leading service provider within Dorset. Due to exciting expansion plans, there is now a requirement for a new Governance & Compliance Manager to join their team. This pivotal role will support the leadership team in ensuring compliance with relevant policies, laws, and regulations while maintaining high standards of governance across the institution. As the Governance & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and managing compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance & Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and governance frameworks in line with statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
- Compliance Management: Monitor compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards, including safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential compliance risks, and work with relevant departments to mitigate these risks.
- Board Support: Support the senior leadership with governance matters, ensuring best practices are followed and that meetings and documentation are compliant and well-organised.
- Training & Awareness: Design and deliver compliance training programs for staff, creating a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour.
- Audit & Reporting: Prepare compliance reports, oversee internal audits, and manage communication with external regulatory bodies.
