This role is responsible for supporting the Chief Financial Officer who is responsible for corporate governance and ensuring the Board service, meetings and committees are run efficiently.

Client Details

My client is a not for profit organisation seeking a Governance and Executive Support Manager to support their business for a period of 2-3 months.

Description

The key responsibilities would include:

  • Diary management and travel planning for all Executive team colleagues ensuring that relevant information is available for meetings and arrangements.
  • Planning meeting dates, booking rooms, arranging transport, sending out notifications, minutes, and other papers in good time to allow for preparation.
  • Draw up agendas with the Board Chair and CEO
  • Maintain the Board and Executive action log, chasing colleagues and ensuring actions are finalised ahead of meetings. Maintain the suite of formal committee meetings (currently Well Led, Quality, Audit and Finance providing support to the Executives and NEDs for these meetings
  • Supporting the Chair, CEO and Executive Directors with the Board and committee cycle.
  • With an eye on best practice, create a corporate governance framework to improve rigour and compliance and organisational understanding.

Profile

The successful candidate:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Chartered Governance Institute Qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of effective methodologies for board evaluation, growth, development and succession planning
  • Excellent eye for detail resulting in an exemplar service delivery
  • Proven skills in business planning and corporate office and governance processes
  • Experience of working with Directors or Senior Managers to deliver PA/EA roles
  • Demonstrable people management experience

Job Offer

This position is for a 2-3 month basis with the possibility to go permanent. Hybrid working is also available.
