Asad Karim is recruiting for a GMP Manufacturing Technician to join a multinational clinical-stage research company focused on the development and commercialisation of gene therapies for debilitating disorders based on a next-generation AAV gene therapy platform. Offered on a full-time permanent basis, the role is based in Stevenage and offers a competitive salary of up to £27,000.

The Role:
Your main duties will be to:
- Be part of the GMP manufacturing operations team and supporting the delivery of GMP manufacturing batches for clinical studies.
- Understand and follow SOPs to perform key GMP operations such as equipment set-up, testing, commissioning, transfer of materials and material cleaning.
- To work closely with warehouse team, QC, and Scheduler to coordinate the effective transfer of materials/samples into and out of the grade C cleanroom to support GMP manufacture.
- To be trained in aseptic cell culture processing for seed train expansion prior to USP.

Your Background:
Ideally you will be educated with a minimum of A-level in a relevant scientific area, or a HND/apprenticeship in a relevant discipline. Experience of working in a GMP manufacturing environment and planning of activities to support manufacture would be advantageous.
