Due to increased global growth and 25%+ year-on-year profitability, the organisation is currently seeking an experienced Global Supply Chain Procurement Manager.
This new role works alongside the Global Executive team and leads the
-unification of global capacity and the improved quality of business operations activity
-provision of quality operational supply chain analytics
-trade lane analysis, route modelling & lane performance and consequently
-vendor contract negotiation re logistics solutions & services across multiple regions and operations, specifically in Air & Sea freight amongst other transport provision
-delivery of new KPIs, budgets, improved contractual service level agreements (SLAs)
-delivery of change in the people & operational behaviours
-delivery of process & systems automation
Your brief includes:
•Business partnering key Executives in the leadership, development, planning & implementation of overall Supply Chain & Trade Lane strategy
•Unify Capacity world-wide and deliver trade lane project/job/vendor coordination & improved supply chain efficiency for tens of thousands of trades each day
•Management of suppliers, services & other parties to ensure customer inventory efficiency and trade lane accuracy & delivery
•Determine, implement, negotiate & monitor performance of vendors, implementing operational management KPIs
•Deliver selection, management & service termination of vendors
•Influence their global network of people in the management of inventory transportation path utilisation, establishing best routes and deliver optimised supply chain processes
•Advising clients on individual supply chain issues liaising with management on solutions
•Collaborating with other operations functions, Regional Hubs and departmental heads to coordinate & implement overall supply chain strategy - driving communication and collaboration
•Proposing & recommending process improvement & cost optimisation solutions including MI/BI automation
•Training, mentoring & evaluating the virtual supply chain teams at regional and operations levels
As an experienced Supply Chain Lead with significant experience in both Air and Sea Freight supplier negotiations, you will demonstrate the ability to implement change within a fast moving, dynamic environment. Having worked either for a global manufacturer; supply chain/logistics group or freight forwarder, you will also ideally have experience in trade-lane modelling and Excel data analysis. The role demands a proactive, energetic individual with the gravitas to influence global operations in the decision-making process. The role will involve some UK and occasional international travel.
