The Opportunity

Responsible for devising and delivering an effective end to end talent acquisition process from candidate attraction through to on-boarding in order to deliver the core aims of the Global Resourcing and Talent Acquisition strategy. As an integral member of the Senior HR team and a critical lead within the HR Centre of Excellence team, this role provides thought leadership and excellence into the short, medium and strategic resourcing needs of the business, ensuring delivery of both strategic and operational plans that clearly contribute to the effective development and business performance of the user departments.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver the 3 year Global Resourcing & Talent Acquisition strategy that responds to both short-term and longer term resource plans, taking account of internal and external market influences
  • Develop effective and cost efficient solutions to respond to global resourcing needs
  • Oversee and manage the Strategic Resource Planning (SRP) process for the busines
  • Act as Global Lead on Recruitment and Talent Acquisition initiativ
  • Responsible for the regional Heads of TA and their on-going coaching and developmen
  • Own Senior hires process and introduction of Global PS
  • Continually review and develop best practice recruitment standards, procedures and tools and work with HR Operations to ensure they are adopted and embedded across the region
  • Working closely with the wider HR team and stakeholders, ensure recruitment processes are aligned and integrated with broader talent management and succession planning processes and accurately captured in the SRP
  • Own the Global Employer Brand and Careers website - look/feel, updates and conten
  • Ensure that the employer branding, recruitment marketing strategy and associated initiatives remain aligned to the Corporate brand and support key strategic initiatives
  • Responsible for Managing and leading Global Social Media to attract and build pools of talent
  • Reduce the risk and cost to the business through effective resourcing strategies
  • Provide thought leadership into research, design and development of competencies, assessment centres, selection processes and attraction methods for all levels across the organisation
  • Monitor, review and develop on-going annual resourcing plans which support overall business Strategic Workforce plan
  • Responsible for updating Recruitment and Induction policies
  • Streamline and embed best practice selection, tools, processes, Psychometric testing, manager training and implement globall
  • Represent BSI at external events, raising our profile and engaging with peers on a Global level
  • Ensure all recruitment systems are effective, efficient and add value and take ownership for implementation of any improvements
  • Oversee and promote an Early Careers programme ensuring the it remains a viable, relevant and effective source of hiring which meets current and future business needs
  • Remain closely connected & aligned to the business through regular engagement with key stakeholders and HR Operations ensuring plans and solutions are fit for purpose;
  • Act on trends provided through the monthly, quarterly and annual data and ensure team delivers against agreed KPI’s. Make recommendations based on findings and plans to address any areas of concern
  • Ownership for development and management of annual recruitment budget
  • Global recruitment reporting to Exec and HR Leadership team
  • Oversee the development and management of the recruitment PSL on behalf of all regional leads
  • Proactively keep abreast of high-level legislation changes, to include GDPR market practices and trends pertinent to recruitment and selection and amend / make recommendations to companypolices, ensuring best practice is upheld
  • Proactively keep abreast of best practice attraction, selection and recruitment methodologies and make recommendations and improvements as appropriate;
  • Ensure that Diversity and Inclusivity best practice is embedded in all recruitment activities
