Your new role
Our client is looking for a Global Process Owner - Accounting and Transition to join their team. This is a key role for the organisation. The organisation is making a significant investment in a SAP ERP system for Finance, Procurement and Engineering. The transformation programme also incorporates the outsourcing of accounting services to a Shared Service Centre and the implementation of a new Management information system. This is a key role for the organisation supporting the delivery of the benefits from the transformation programme relating to accounting. The role will provide leadership in respect of financial accounting processes associated with SAP (Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger), develop financial processes and systems to ensure data is captured and management information is produced, provide overall transition management responsibility for the outsourcing of accounting services to the shared service centre and management of relationships with the shared service centre.

Experience of implementation of global accounting shared services and management information systems is a key skill for this role.

You will be responsible for the core financial accounting processes within Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger. Process optimisation, the implementation of SAP will be challenging. Transition, as the business transitions into a Shared Service centre this role will provide the coordination roles across the transitions.

What you'll need to succeed
A proven record of working with SAP financial systems and delivering process improvements.
Senior level experience of management of people and resources across a Multi-national organisation.
Experience of operating in a Shared Service environment would be preferable.
A professional finance qualification ACA preferred.
A thorough understanding of financial control.
