Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will lead the medical strategy and execution of key deliverables to support the launch and lifecycle management globally for Faslodex, under the supervision of the Senior GMAL or Franchise Head.
You will provide a coordinated approach to building and sustaining Astra Zeneca’s medical leadership in breast cancer and deliver medical insight into the development and execution of a Faslodex brand strategy. You’ll oversee and support the development and execution of integrated medical plans (evidence generation and scientific communications), including global external experts, and patient centric activities.
You will be required to partner closely with colleagues in the Markets, Global Medicines Development, early research (MedImmune & IMED), Regulatory, Commercial, Access, Health Outcomes and other key functions, and help build alignment on key initiatives including optimal approach to data generation, communication and supporting access to improve patient outcomes.
You’ll also represent the brand by interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the scientific and clinical understanding of the brand.
- Advanced scientific degree (M.D, PhD, PharmD) with oncology experience
- Experience gained in a Senior Medical Affairs role in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of Oncology, in particular, Breast Cancer
- Understanding of drug development and commercialization processes including knowledge of outcomes research/payer access issues
- Ability to generate, analyse and interpret clinical trial and published data
- Track record of successfully developing and executing Medical Plans both in terms of evidence generation, scientific communications and external expert engagements
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and products simultaneously
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- M.D. degree
