Group Leadership Development is responsible for setting the framework for leadership development Group wide & assuring regional roll outs of designed and aligned initiatives.
With a growing importance on developing leaders to increase employee engagement, the leadership development manager will support the implementation of key initiatives such as high potential development, leadership development programmes, diversity, performance and talent management and learning at TUI.
As the HR agenda around employee engagement continues to grow in importance to drive the business forward, this is an exciting opportunity to embed real change in the leadership development space in the world’s largest Tour Operator.
What you will be doing
As Leadership Development Manager you will work closely with the Global Head of Leadership Development.
You will be responsible for researching best practice, supporting design & collaborating across the Group to deliver key Group Leadership development projects i.e. leadership development programmes (Basic and digital), learning at TUI, diversity. Ensuring learning is delivered in an international, modern and blended way you will collaborating with HRBPs/L&D BPs to support them to integrate/execute Group programmes locally.
You will support the project management, design and delivery of Group high potential programmes attend them for opening and closing and act as host where necessary. You will also be reviewing candidate applications and provide feedback to participants and HR. Specifically you will be taking a leading role in Perspectives – our emerging leader programme. You will also lead programme check in calls. In addition you will support blended learning approach for high potential programmes working with the LMS and learning@TUI team and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and evaluation themes.
Together with the Global Leadership Development Advisor you will manage the IMD/ Corporate Learning Network membership. This includes overseeing the annual nomination process across the Group, evaluating programmes internally and speaking to candidates about impact and value to produce recommendations for the future, ensuring best use of the credits and working with LD advisor on cancellations and changes as well as supporting colleagues on Cloud programmes and mapping IMD content to enhance Group programmes.
As the Global Leadership Development Manager you will provide learning and development opportunities for Group Functions Crawley. You will be working together with LD Advisor to understand the training needs of Group Function colleagues and delivering development to support as appropriate. You will train and support all Group Function colleagues in the Great Place to Grow approach throughout the performance management year.
You will also design and implement a TUI 360 based on TUI Values and our VIBE leadership model and work closely with the Works Council.
You will support the project management and implementation of international conferences as required.
You will support the TUI Group Performance and Talent Management approach across the Group, working with colleagues internationally to understand regularly how the approach is being embedded/ how it can continue to be BAU.
Will also look to you to ensure development is delivered within budget.
What we are looking for
- Someone with university degree (preferably a masters) in HR and several years learning and development experience
- A proven track record of designing and delivering leadership development interventions
- Willing to travel internationally
- Able to deal with ambiguity and changes of direction
- Strong project management skills and ability to organise self and others
- Able to work independently
- Self starter
- Have a flexible can do attitude
- Can work well in a small lean team
- Internationally minded considerate of the international remit of the role in implementing leadership development initiatives
- Fluent in English
