Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Global IT Audit Manager based in Ipswich. Reporting to the IT Risk and Assurance Director you will lead the Assurance Response team which includes leads in the US and UK. This is a high-profile leadership for someone who has a 'hands-on’ IT audit background together with experience of shaping and leading change, excellent stakeholder management skills with proven abilities in negotiation and influencing coupled with and a desire to progress their career in a large corporate organisation.

Typical duties;

  • Manage relationship with internal and external audit
  • Build good working relationships with key business stakeholders including technology leaders, process and control owners
  • Represent IT Management in all IT audits
  • Manage relationship with Financial Control for SOX audits
  • Provide co-ordination, tracking, monitoring and reporting for on-going audits and open audit points
  • Reporting and metrics /dashboards for use within the team and for informing senior management
  • Continuous improvement and alignment of audited global controls
  • Lead a small global audit co-ordination team within the IT risk and assurance function to;
    • Work with process and control owners and other key stakeholders to prepare for IT audits, internal and external
    • Work with the internal and external audit teams to agree plans and schedules for all technology and IT related audits
    • Ensure the annual SOX audits are fully co-ordinated with all key stakeholder areas including financial control. This includes preparation of attendees, attendance at meetings, co-ordination of schedule and management of responses
    • Co-ordinate global audit activities ensuring the right focus
  • Provide insight into audit findings and coach others through the development of remediation plans
  • Provide appropriate challenge to both Internal and External auditors
  • Follow up open Audit points and work with the wider IT team to resolve
  • Status reporting and MI for senior stakeholders
  • Effective communication to all stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have proven strong and effective leadership skills. You will also have hands on experience of executing an IT Audit - ideally as an IT Auditor. Having a good understanding of a range of IT related audits including SOX and SOC will be advantageous.
