AWS is seeking a world class senior Enterprise Sales professional to help us establish AWS as the Energy market leader for upstream data platforms. As a specialist sales representative for this fast growing, exciting space you will have the opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of emerging open-source data interoperability and connectivity technologies that will have a significant impact on our customer’s digital strategy. Your responsibilities will include building and managing an opportunity pipeline focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration of upstream data platforms.
The holder of this Enterprise Sales leadership role will own providing a global business and sales management effort that will include teaming with AWS executives, sales representatives, solutions architects, business developers and partners. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage virtual resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy for data platforms within and across multiple accounts, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a technical understanding that enables them to easily interact with developers and technical architects. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. You have a passion for helping customers eliminate proprietary data silos, automate data collection and curation and use ML/AI to unlock innovation.
The Enterprise Sales professional is responsible for teaming with business and IT organizations to build strategic relationships across multiple accounts, articulating a clear vision for implementations of upstream data platforms and building enthusiasm for data democratization and cross-industry digital collaboration. You are responsible for implementing a broad strategy for earning customer trust and service adoption in this space. You will work with all appropriate AWS teams including dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed, as well as Business Development teams, to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of upstream data platforms. You will build and scale sales best practices and accelerate go-to-market initiatives across enterprise sales teams
Development of formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS is core to the role.
Having familiarity in ecosystem selling, where customers, vendors, academia and government agencies across and beyond the E&P industry promote their digital solution collaboration is a plus.
