Global Category Manager required for London based FTSE listed business.

They are looking to recruit a commercially minded procurement professional with exposure to Asian culture to better liaise with suppliers and stakeholders alike.
Your new role
As the dynamic Global Category Manager, you will be based in Central London (Zone 1) with some global travel required to gain control over your categories. Within this role you will ensure that the Supply Chain function has the most appropriate end to end Procurement and Sourcing strategies, commercial agreements and relationships in place with vendors ensuring optimum commercial value.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be accountable for approx. £70m spend across varying categories such as fleet, distribution, MRO, maintenance costs etc. You will use strategic sourcing methodologies to deliver targeted annual cost savings. You will work with key stakeholders to develop appropriate spend strategies to enable transformative geographic and structural supply changes maximising and delivering value to the business across the next 3 years.
What you'll get in return
To succeed in this role you will have significant experience sourcing commodities from Asia, or some working knowledge of the working environment there. Chinese language would be a plus here.
