You will oversee the provision of full and pro-active executive support to the Chair and members of the Glasgow City ADP and its various working groups and represent the GC ADP in other planning and implementation settings. You will facilitate a wide partnership approach to the development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive and evidence based local ADP alcohol and drugs strategy and associated action plans and you will lead on the development, co-ordination and analysis of the ADP Performance Framework. You will provide highly specialised advice to the ADP and Community Planning Partners on national and local issues affecting drug and alcohol policy, and you will raise awareness of drugs and alcohol issues across all sectors and agencies.
It is essential that you are educated to a Degree Level or equivalent and that you have substantial experience working within the public sector or related experience within a strategic role. You should have specialist knowledge and understanding of national policies pertaining to drugs and alcohol.


This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership. The successful applicant will be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either GCC or NHS depending on current employer.


Salary: NHS AfC Band 7 £37,570-£44,688; GCC £42,868-£49,775 Grade 8

Hours: NHS 37.5/week; GCC 35/week
