German Speaking Revenue Accountant

Our Client,a leading Commercial Company based in West London are currently recruiting for a Revenue Accountant to work within the German market on a permanent basis. You must be a FLUENT German speaker and if you can also speak French then this would be of an advantage.

Reporting to the EMEA Revenue Recognition Director, your duties will include:

  • Being responsible for the preparation of revenue related journal entries, reconciliation of deferred revenue accounts to the general ledger, and the monthly deferred revenue and account analytics
  • Providing consultation to the sales and contracts teams during business cycles
  • Serving as a technical reference for the sales and contracts teams during the contract negotiation process
  • Performing monthly/quarterly revenue closing processes ensuring journals are posted correctly and reconciled to both local and US GAAP
  • Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls
  • Providing support to EMEA GL reporting team and the Billing & Collection team
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors on interim and year end Group/Local statutory audit process
  • Assisting in preparation of financial statement disclosures relating to revenue
  • Preparation and completion of other projects and tasks that may be required on an ad hoc basis

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting
  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent in Europe, working in a corporate international company
  • US GAAP experience
  • Fluent German (written and spoken), French would be a plus
  • Strong financial reporting and accounting skills
  • Strong Computer skills: proficiency in MS Excel, Accounting Software packages such as JD Edwards
