German speaking Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and proactive New Business Development Manager to join a large, multinational events company that offers excellent progression for candidates who wish to pursue a career in sales. The role will be to build relationships with prospects around the world with focus on German market and offering company's bespoke event solutions.

Main responsibilities:

* Source and generate new prospects and leads
* Create and work to a clear sales plan
* Arrange and attend sales meetings with clients to fully understand their needs and ensure best solution can be offered for their needs
* Writing proposals to prospective clients
* Manage existing customer relationships thorough-out the event cycle to build trust and rapport to ensure that they take full use of all our services so they achieve the best outcome from their investment
* Successfully achieve and/or exceed specified individual and event targets and performance objectives
* To respond to clients requests and ensure a timely response is received
* To ensure all customer and account information is recorded accurately in Salesforce

Requirements:

* Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
* Previous B2B sales experience (minimum 1 year)
* Experience of qualifying leads, cold calling, managing a productive pipeline and closing business to meet your monthly and quarterly targets
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a high performing, fast paced target driven environment
* Motivated, with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
* Able to understand customer needs and adapt company's portfolio of events and services to build a tailored solution for clients
* Project Management Skills - resourceful, resilient, innovative & able to cope under pressure
* Willingness to travel - you will be travelling to international events and meetings with clients
* Use of Salesforce or similar CRM an advantage
