Geotechnical Engineer highway design

I am looking to speak with an experienced Geotechnical Engineer that is looking for an opportunity to specialise in design of major smart motorway schemes. This is an unbelievable opportunity for you to gain an international consultancy working on some of the UK's largest highway projects.

You will be responsible for assisting the principal Geotechnical Engineer situated in Bristol to certify compliance with all the relevant technical standards and to ensure complex Geotechnical design projects are completed within the time frame.

Candidates must be technically strong within Geotechnical Engineer Designs of either, slope stability, shallow foundations, earthworks, heavy piled foundations and embedded retaining walls, including the application of 2-D and 3-D numerical modelling (preferred). There are excellent opportunities for career progression to Senior / Principal running your own team and projects.

Key requirements
*A minimum of 2 years and proven work within a Geotechnical Engineer consultancy within the UK or to the EU7
*Working towards the chartership status
*BSc, BEng, MEng or MSc in Geotechnical/Geological science with a relation to Civil Engineering or Geotechnics.
*Experience designing deep/shallow foundations, retaining walls, slope stability or retaining structures.
*Computer literate and a professional knowledge of either AutoCad, Slope's, OASYS, Wallop, GEO5 and Plaxis
*Demonstrated in Rail or Highways
