Your new role
In your new teaching job you will enjoy working within a secondary school situated in Westminster and will specialise within Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and desirably Key Stage 5 Geography. You will be responsible for developing the students and guiding them on ways to improve. You will plan and prepare lessons, as well as setting appropriate homework and coursework and have regular contact with students.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Secondary Geography Teacher you will need to have Qualified Teacher Status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
