Experienced Geography Teacher required to join the dedicated and committed Humanities department in a Secondary School in North Somerset. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, this position has arisen due to a promotion.
This position requires experience Teaching the subject to A Level to continue coaching the sixth form students through their coursework and preparation for exams. Planning, marking and assessing will be involved, however you will have 3 PPA slots in your timetable. As well as A Level, you will also be responsible for KS3 and KS4 Geography classes.
This is a larger than average sized Secondary School, staff and students are proud of their School and parents are supportive and active in their children's education. Students settle quickly to learning and are keen to engage, they have a thirst for knowledge actively participate to enrich their understanding. The successful Geography Teacher will need to;
-Be a Qualified Teacher holding QTS in either Secondary or Further Education
-Have recent experience teaching Geography A Level within the U.K.
-Have excellent team working skills
