This role is ideal for a Geography Teacher who is looking for progressive department. The successful Geography Teacher will be enthusiastic and positive in their teaching approach. You will have the desire to fill students with the passion of Geography and support them in achieving their subject goals. We want to recruit a Geography Teacher who has a fun approach to lesson planning and encourages learning through practical approaches.
As a Geography Teacher at this school you will be expected to enthuse students to select the subject at GCSE and A-Level. You will have a broad subject knowledge allowing you to teach through to KS5. You will be working alongside the department in their ambitions to heighten the interest in this Humanities subject creating investigative and practical lessons.
The aims of the department are to:
• Develop knowledge and understanding of our world.
• Raise awareness of the environment and our impact upon it.
• Develop and use skills of enquiry, presentation, analysis and evaluation.
Geography is an extremely popular choice at both GCSE and A-Level. The department currently uses the AQA exam board for all external examinations.
