We are looking for a very dynamic and sales focussed General Manager for our client who sells components into the machine building industry. You could be a Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Director or National Sales Manager etc looking to step up to your next exciting opportunity and further forge your career in the mechanical engineering sector.
Our client designs and manufactures mechanical power transmission and workholding systems that are recognised as simply the best in the market and are therefore used by many of the World's leading OEMs. A reputation they have earned because of the quality of both their products and service and has been achieved by continual investment in R&D and nurturing their most important component - the staff.
Based from their Bedfordshire Offices they have successfully been servicing the UK market for over forty years. Their leading range of power transmission products (brakes, industrial gears, couplings, torque limiters, precision clamping, freewheels, flange couplings, flexible couplings, shrink disks, clutches, conveyor systems, gearboxes etc.) are used to aid automation or by OEM's in the manufacturing process (machine builders, manufacturers, conveyor belting, printing machines, textile machine, machine tools, packaging machinery, woodworking machines, pumps, fans, etc.). Additionally they design and develop specialist workholding solutions (jigs, clamps, fixtures, etc.) for many of the UK's biggest manufacturers.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious individual who is commercially astute to manage their operations in the UK. You will be tasked with increasing profitability by driving sales forward. You will also assume full P&L responsibility for a +£2M turnover operation and the management of a small team comprising of Key Account Managers, External Sales, Product Managers and Admin. You will report directly into the Global CEO.
Essentials for the role are:
* Sales experience in a relevant vertical marketplace
* Sales management experience
* Mechanical engineering qualification
* Easy commute to Bedfordshire or be prepared to relocate
We are especially interested to hear from candidates who have sold components into the machine building/OEM sector. These may include power transmission, gears, gearboxes, cables, control gear, industrial brakes, brake calipers, shaft couplings, workholding, etc.
Basic Salary £55-70K Depending on experience
Substantial Bonus - Up to 30%
