We have a great opportunity for a General Manager who will take full responsibility for one of our high profile contracts in Norfolk, working closely with the client in driving the business forward. You will ensure the catering, events and hospitality services are managed to the highest standards. The business is a great mix of hospitality, catering and events and you will develop and manage a motivated team, ensuring appropriate skills to ensure budget targets are achieved. Working with a team of up to 20 staff including a deputy manager. You will be an excellent leader, able to communicate at all levels and have a strong financial background.

Package description

£35k - £40k depending on experience

5 out of 7 days, 40 hours per week, needs to be flexible, as will also be involved in catering for evenings and weekends

Main responsibilities

  • Managing client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to
  • Driving the service and support to exceed our client's and our customers' expectations
  • Planning and implementing plans to achieve strategic growth of the operation and overall contract delivery
  • Coaching, developing and leading a team to provide exceptional service to the clients
  • Driving service excellence thereby exceeding customer expectations/requirements and enhancing the customer journey
  • Will be very involved in the hospitality side of the business
  • Deliver the profit for the business through leading and supporting your team in delivery of their financial targets
  • Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of Food & beverage, operating with focus on innovation, standards and market awareness

Ideal candidate

  • Strategic Management experience within a similar role
  • The ability to build and lead an effective team
  • Experience within a hotel environment
  • Must have a background in events and hospitality
  • Standards and quality driven management style
  • Results orientated and motivated to achieve measurable results
  • Sound knowledge of Hygiene, Health and Safety
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Be self-motivated and show the ability to work in a pressurised commercial, customer facing environment

  • Computer literacy
  • Financial and commercial acumen
