Our client is looking for an experienced General Manager to drive the overall performance of their large flagship Leisure Centre.
The successful candidate will need to be commercially focused as well as possessing the ability to implement and deliver a range of programmes and activities that not only drive income but as importantly ensure that the diverse community needs are met.
You will need to be a strong driven leader and mentor of people to ensure that the current team continue to develop and grow, good delegation skills are also be a must.
Strong communication skills are also essential with the ability to liaise at a senior level with key stakeholders and partners. You will need to be able to influence and negotiate as well as deliver reports and presentations to a variety of audiences.
The ability to write budgets and deliver effective business plans is a must together with being able to interpret financial information and data to help to assess risk and to make good decisions.
You will have previously operated and managed a business either within the private or public sector and be willing to challenge the status quo to enable you to take the business forward.
You need to have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude with a desire to develop both yourself and others within the business.
You must be prepared to work flexible hours, which will include some weekends. Experience within the leisure sector is not essential.
