We are currently recruiting for a Temporary GDPR Project Officer for a well established company based in Bootle. This will be working on a project until July and offering salary of £27,069, immediate start and weekly pay whilst temping.
Please note the successful candidate will have a DBS clearance or will be able to pass a check on offer of the role.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
The successful candidate must be flexible on travel as will be required to attend meetings on other sites.
About The Role:
•Scope current activity relevant to specific GDPR workstrands to feed gaps in performance into the project plan
•Work with Information Asset Owners and to analyse personal data flows across the organisation and make recommendations for actions to feed into the project plan based on issues, gaps and risks identified
•Work with other teams to assist in developing policies which underpin effective compliance in day-to-day activities e.g. records of processing activities, standard operating procedures for collecting PD, bespoke guidance for individual teams
•Work with other teams within the team to assist and advise on data-sharing agreements and protocols
•To assist with campaigns to cleanse obsolete PD from our systems
•Assist with data protection impact assessments across business areas, embedding the culture for new projects involving personal data
•Assist in developing internal and external communication plus website products which ensure that our staff and the public are sufficiently informed and engaged with our plans for achieving GDPR and our policies
•Advisor to parallel HR project to achieve GDPR compliance
•Shared project administration, including leading on GDPR CHAMPS group
•Key contributor to training plans and programmes to ensure that staff are trained and supported to comply
•Important role in raising awareness of compliance requirements across the business, and liaising with business areas on queries/issues arising
•Ensuring that risks and issues logs are kept up to date
Essential Skills & Experience
•Data Protection Act (DPA) and practical impacts on records management
•Strong understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation and awareness of the Data Protection Bill, and how they impact upon organisational compliance with data protection
•Records management techniques and best practice
•Accredited information rights qualification
