Our client, The Open University (OU)  is a public distance learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education. Their innovative and inclusive approach to education has seen 1.89 million people, all over the world, realising their educational ambitions by studying with the University since it opened in 1969.

The OU is looking to recruit an experienced GDPR Manager who will  drive, coordinate and ensure that recommendations from the programme team are embedded sufficiently to become business as usual.

The successful candidate will also be able to identify, assess and collate MI data with a view to constructing a" dashboard" of strategic information measures. 

This is a full time 7 month temporary assignment and 30 hours per week could be an option. 

The main responsibilities in this role are;
Driving and coordinating the embedding of GDPR activity
Providing reports, identifying risks and issues and escalating these if necessary
Making recommendations for process improvement and continual improvement.  
Promoting and enhancing communication & training regarding the changes in GDPR 
Providing casework support for any data breaches or issues raised by staff and student.
