I am looking for a part time to teacher to work the first half of the summer term (25th April - 27th May). The school is located in Beaminster, Dorset.


The school caters for young people between the ages of 2 and 19 who have PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and complex needs. A significant number of students also have a diagnosis of autism (ASC), some of whom may also have significant physical, sensory or behavioural needs.

There are currently 2 part time roles available at this school, we could consider one teacher to cover both classes or 2 seperate teachers:
Monday and Tuesday

  • In the Post 16 department working with the schools most able group.
  • There are 7 students in total and you will always have the support of a knowledgeable and experienced TA.
  • There is long term planning - ASDAN Lifeskills Challenges to continue. Support will be available from other Post 16 Teacher and SLT.

Friday

  • In a KS3 class
  • Support from a high ratio of SEN Teaching assistants
  • You will need to work alongside the current teacher to plan lessons. Medium Term Planning in already in place. 


To be considered for this role, it is essential you have relevent teaching qualifications and ideally QTS.

Previous SEN school experience would support your application but this is not essential if you have gained SEN experience within a mainstream setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
