Funeral Director

AJWakely & Sons are looking for a caring and passionate Funeral Director to join our team in Sidmouth and Axminster.

The funeral director will :

Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times backed up by the highest standards of customer service

Act as point of contact for any members of the family, or general public when organising funerals.

Liaise with the families throughout the whole funeral process from start to finish

Offer appropriate after care once the funeral has been completed

Promote the importance, and benefits of, effective team work at all times

Oversee the handling and viewing of all bodies throughout the whole funeral process.

Oversee and coordinate the financial arrangements for each funeral

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the funeral service itself

Comply with all relevant hygiene, health and safety and other relevant legislation at all times

Build effective working relationships with peers, subordinates and fellow directors ensuring overall staff and customer satisfaction

Ensure the safe handling of stock, cash and all other items whilst on duty.

Review overall profitability of each funeral with staffing, support and general conduct
