Functional Skills Trainer - London - Full-Time & Permanent - £25,000-£30,000

Are you an experienced Functional Skills Trainer? Do you have experience of teaching Maths, English and IT in a classroom environment? Are you looking to help the minds of tomorrow?

A role has become available with one of the UK’s leading Providers of Digital Skills Training. This Provider delivers both Apprenticeships in the workplace and classes within their London based Training Centre. They are currently expanding their team and are looking for a Functional Skills Trainer.

This role is to teach and train learners in Maths, English and IT. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years’ solid experience within a similar role.

Previous experience and attainment of either PGCE or PTLLS are desirable (all equivalent qualifications also considered). You must be knowledgeable within your sector and be confident to deliver both full classes and on a one to one basis.

You will be a self-starter and be able to reach well informed and clear decisions. Excellent organisation, communication and administration skills.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Tracking learner progress

• Marking learner assignments

• Inspiring the minds of tomorrow

Your current experience will incorporate:

• Teaching experience

• Teaching qualification

In return you will receive:

  • A starting salary from £25,000 - £30,000
  • 22 days holiday increasing by a day per year up to 25 days
  • Salary review every 6 months
  • Pension Scheme and other benefits

All employees must undertake a DBS check-renewable every 3 years.
