We are currently seeking an experienced Trainer / Assessor to deliver Functional Skills Maths and/or English within Traineeship division.
To be suitable for this role, you must hold or be prepared to work towards a teaching qualification, hold a minimum of GCSE Maths and English and ideally have previous experience delivering these subjects within a classroom setting.
Key duties will include;
To deliver high quality teaching and learning on a range of courses at different levels and contexts, both discrete and in the workplace.
Proactively track and record student progress ensuring that accurate and reliable information on the predicted achievement and success of learners is readily available.
To complete and use initial assessments of learners (BKSB), to ensure that their learning needs are met.
To act as a link tutor ensuring that external assessments and exams are organised and communicated to vocational staff and their students effectively.
To achieve key targets in terms of attendance, retention, achievement and timely success.
To deliver additional workshops and one to one additional support where appropriate to ensure all learners can succeed.
Ensuring Quality Assurance processes are implemented and robustly complied with.
- To set and monitor targets for students ensuring that regular assessment feedback is provided that supports them to improve.
- To work with the Functional skills team to improve the capacity of all Assessors to effectively develop the maths and English skills of their learners through promotion and the delivery of CPD sessions as appropriate.
Hours will be on a part time or full time basis, Monday to Friday with an immediate start.
