Accounts Assistant required for our rapidly expanding Catering Butchers business. Based in Poole, Dorset and reporting to the Financial Controller. 37½ hours (8.30 am - 4.30 pm) Monday to Friday each week.
6 month fixed term with potential for permanent part-time role.
To support Sales & Purchase Ledger in general administration and accounting procedures which will incorporate, the use of Microsoft Office programs and Accounting software. Previous experience in Sales or Purchase Ledger essential.
The main purpose of this role will be to balance the daily banking including receiving and balancing cash and cheques collected by our Delivery Drivers. Additional tasks include assisting with Sales & Purchase Ledger by; accepting card payments / cheque transactions, plus providing support with regards to posting and allocating payments, matching delivery notes to invoices, posting to accounting system, statement reconciliation, filing and general administration tasks.
We are looking for a clear, confident communicator who is conscientious and an all-rounder to work within a small team of four. The ideal candidate must have previous Finance / Accounting experience within Sales or Purchase Ledger and will be highly organised with a willingness to multi-task. You will need to meet deadlines both promptly and accurately and have a medium proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs. Full training will be provided on the use of our bespoke computer system.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
