Norton House Hotel & Spa, part of the Hand Picked portfolio, is a country house hotel set in the outskirts of Edinburgh. The hotel holds 4 red stars and has 83 bedrooms; a 1 rosette, 110 seater brasserie; 13 conference rooms; Leisure Club and Spa consisting of 8 treatment rooms, swimming pool, gym and fitness studio. We are currently recruiting for an experience Hotel Receptionist on a part-time basis, to join our busy team.
Our Front of House team are often the first face to face contact our guests have with our hotel, and as such are expected to deliver exceptionally high standards of service to our guests. We want to create fantastic memories for our guests, and welcome you as part of the Norton House family.
Your role will involve welcoming and rooming guests, dealing with guest enquiries and ensuring guest delight on departure.
You will work 32 hours per week, on a shift rota basis, including evenings and weekends, as part of an experienced reception team and will be provided with excellent training and development.
Competencies of a Receptionist:
- You must be passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality to our guests whilst demonstrating a thorough knowledge of hotel products and services.
- The ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar environment is essential.
