Salary: £20,000 - £25,000
Hours: 9am to 5 pm Monday to Friday
Location: Gloucester

I am looking for a Front End Designer to join the IT team within my client, an Extreme sporting goods company based out of Gloucester.

I am looking for a candidate with a strong design background.

This is a design focused role but a good understanding of javascript, jquery and AJAX is required for the development side of the position.

Short term the focus of the role would be converting web designs to code, so that they can work on all devices, so knowledge of HTML, CSS and javascript/jquery is essential.

Long term the successful candidate will gain more developer experience with a view to supporting the company with development projects. There will be the opportunity to progress knowledge on this within the company.

As the Designer/Developer, the following is required;
" The ability to work in any of the following languages; HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery
" The ability to design websites in Photoshop and replicate those designs in code
" UI/UX experience
" Have a strong design focused Portfolio

Experience of the following is beneficial but not essential;
" Magento experience or experience with designing for E-commerce platforms or CMS(content management systems) such as Prestashop, Opencart, Wordpress etc
" Graphic Design experience
" Interest in Extreme Sports
