Fraudulent Motor Claims Handler

Our client has a vacancy for a Claims Handlers to deal with fraud related claims. The team manages the investigation of third party motor claims which show a level of fraud indicators. The successful applicants will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a positive customer experience by communicating with our stakeholders in a helpful, proactive and professional manner

  • Considering and investigating, where appropriate, files referred to the section with a view to detecting fraudulent/potentially fraudulent claims made

  • Identifying those claims, which are genuine at the earliest stage where possible and return to the appropriate section for, continued handling

Qualifications

The successful candidate must already have a level 3 Qualification on the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF). This equates to:

  • 2pass grades in A levels

  • CII Level 3 Certificate

  • ICFS Level 3 Certificate of Attainment in Accredited Counter Fraud Technician

  • NVQ Level 3

In addition:

  • Full sign off on Rejections and Formal Awards

  • Thorough knowledge of motor insurance and claims principles gained through operating as a claims handler with personal injury and property damage experience

  • A good and sound knowledge and application of processes and claims handling

  • A good working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)

  • Possess good communication skills, verbal and written. Able to work effectively with all levels of the organisation

  • An interest in anti-fraud work demonstrated by a general understanding of fraud issues, trends and publicised market initiatives

  • Ideally experience of anti-fraud data systems and databases and being able to interpret the output

  • High degree of competence in the use of on-line search facilities (e.g. Experian, Equifax etc.)
