Fraud Data Analyst - Redhill up to £32,000 plus excellent benefits

Our client is a leading insurance provider who is actively seeking an experience Fraud Analyst to join their Underwriting and Fraud team. This role will involve analysing the effectiveness of the fraud prevention models that have a direct impact on the business profits and losses. This is a great opportunity to use your analytical skills and SAS and SQL skills.

You will be responsible for Analysis of multiple data sources, and design and delivery of high-quality management information to inform operational activity / resource use, financial crime strategy and prioritise initiatives in order to achieve reduction of financial losses.

Lead collaboration with all departments to identify, extract and collate all necessary data / information to deliver appropriate business intelligence and reporting to line and senior management.

Review fraud detection systems performance, identify and implement appropriate detection rule changes to increase financial savings (reduce avoidable financial loss) and optimise use of limited FTE resource.

Lead collaboration with non-financial crime departments to optimise use of fraud detection systems for the benefit of other teams.

Deliver regular and ad hoc threat assessments to inform strategy, prioritise initiatives and identify high risk areas.

Deliver ad hoc technical analysis / data manipulation to detect control weaknesses or previously undetected financial losses through fraud.

Production of around 50 written reports / risk assessments each year for senior management and risk and Executive fora and conducting between 15 - 20 bespoke risk assessments every year.

Experience required for this role -
-Knowledge of fraud / financial crime risk management for both insider and external fraud preferable
-Technical knowledge of general insurance across underwriting and claims and the metrics used by other business areas including Underwriting, Corporate Analysis, Operations and Claims
-Technical data analysis skills (experience of intermediate / advanced MS Access, MS Excel, SQL, business objects, ACL / IDEA etc.)
-Track record of delivering high quality data analysis and reporting
-Intermediate / advanced reporting / presentation skills Word, PowerPoint, Visio etc.
-Technical knowledge of insurance fraud, 'Hunter' / 'SIRA' / 'CIFAS' detection systems and i2 link charting advantageous
