Fraud Coordinator

Our well respected and established client has a vacancy for a Fraud Coordinator. You will need to have at least 3 years’ experience, gained from dealing with the handling/investigation of fraudulent motor claims.

Responsibilities include:

  • To assess and carry out initial desktop research (where appropriate), against all incoming referrals, to determine which cases warrant a detailed fraud investigation, and which cases can be cleared of fraud concerns

  • To act as a single point of contact for internal stakeholders for ad-hoc referral advice, and, fraud awareness training

  • To assess the matches and information provided, through the daily feed, of new claims data, and manage their workflow, including diary management

  • To advise and support the business in the identification of trends which may impact on the business and present these internally via fraud risk reports, which will involve analysis of MI data in addition to investigative work on claims files

  • To provide support to the Fraud Analysts when investigating patterns from identified threats and potential fraud networks

  • To design and implement the process for measuring unidentified fraud exposure, including the audit of cases for fraud leakage, reporting and presenting of findings, and recommendations for change

The successful applicant will need:

  • A Level or equivalent

  • To hold or be studying towards a professional qualification relating to fraud or insurance (e.g. ACII)

  • Excellent and extensive knowledge and application claims handling, gained from experience of working as a Claims Handler and Claims Investigator (or similar).

  • Knowledge of CPR, PACE, DPA and The Fraud Act 2006, where appropriate

  • The ability to make a reasoned decision as to when to investigate or settle a claim, with consideration to Intelligence, evidence and economics

  • Have an excellent and extensive knowledge of motor insurance and claims principles, keeping abreast of all current developments

  • Experience of working with an Anti- Fraud Database

  • Possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written
