The role holder has accountability for materially contributing to the execution of the Counter-Fraud strategy and in such a way as to support the financial objectives.
The Counter Fraud Analyst is responsible for the development of fit for purpose scorecards, models, tools, insights and recommendations that drive efficiency, control, financial benefits and improved customer outcomes.
Success in the role requires extensive collaboration with other business functions to ensure all capabilities within the business are utilised effectively to meet the financial plans.
The key priorities for the holder of this role are:
·Responsible for the production and development of a range of interpretative analytics. Formulation of conclusions and recommendations from the analysis to support the business in making better decisions.
·Utilise various analytics, data sources and reporting suites to build an understanding of performance and identify trends, which will lead to improvements to Fraud detection and Prevention.
·Assist in the production of cost benefit case proposals through the Change Board and associated Steering Committees.
·Responsible for the development and delivery of accurate, robust and functional analytical toolsets (e.g. predictive models, scorecards.)
·Support the development of MI & reporting processes within the Counter Fraud team.
·Work closely with other areas of the business to ensure the aims and impacts of any changes are conducive to the objectives of the product.
·Maintain good relationships with Underwriting, Pricing, Claims and Operational functions.
·Support the Deployment Team to design & implement effective testing of change to increase accuracy in deployment and understand risk.
·Continuous development of capability through on the job learning, online courses and external learning activity. Maintaining a knowledge of developments in Counter Fraud methodologies within and outside of the insurance industry.
·Comply with all legal and regulatory provisions.

Product and Technical Knowledge:
·Experience in handling complex datasets and utilise them in structured analysis.
·In depth experience of working in a Motor Insurance environment within a specialised/complex Claims and Underwriting areas.
·Contribute to the management of the Counter Fraud financial performance across a diverse range of products in a complex and competitive market.
·Technical knowledge of company product range including understanding of the coverage provisions, exclusions and conditions of our product wordings.
·Ability to analyse data for the purposes of effective risk selection, including recommendations to enhance pricing and risk selection.
·Being commercially aware and using this acumen in a way that helps enhance the businesses profitability.
·Knowledge of the legal, regulatory and compliance provisions that apply to Lloyds and the UK motor insurance market.

·Comfortable to work with and approach a range of people inside and outside of the Counter Fraud team where assistance or further information is required.
