Due to significant growth an excellent opportunity has become available for a formulation scientist with a leading pharmaceutical organisation. As a member of the Formulation R&D Team, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of technically challenging projects. The role specialises in pharmaceutical development, with interesting and exciting opportunities for you to be able to utilise and develop your formulation skills within a novel R&D environment.
Ideally you will be research orientated with a proactive and tenacious approach to work plans ensuring priorities are met; working with high levels of self-motivation and enthusiasm. You will also have a thorough understanding of the key issues around analytical and formulation development to devise appropriate solutions to projects.
It is key that you can demonstrate initiative in idea generation and experimental design, in order that customer expectations are met.
In the role you will apply knowledge of formulation and physical characterisation issues that can affect both the API and a finished dosage form to assist in the development of projects and interpretation of the data generated. You will manufacture lab-scale formulations for investigational work and participate in project costing’s. You will plan and conduct projects as defined by the customer in a timely and proactive manner with accurate reports on work performed and outlining plans for future work. In the role you will also support the transfer of processes to other company departments as projects progress through the drug development lifecycle.
Ideally you will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Technology, drug delivery or related formulation based discipline. Higher qualifications such as MSc and PhD are also highly desirable.
