We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team at an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School in Enfield. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with SEMH, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), and those in Pupil Referral Units (PRU). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners while contributing to an innovative and inclusive curriculum.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging food technology lessons to students with SEMH, SEND, and behavioural needs.
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support students' progress and well-being.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide tailored support.
  • Assess students' progress, manage behaviour effectively, and implement appropriate interventions where necessary.

About You:

  • Experience working in SEMH, SEND, or PRU settings is essential.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Food Technology, with the ability to inspire students and make the subject engaging.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills, with the ability to work effectively with challenging students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • A creative and adaptable teaching approach, with the ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual student needs.
