Now, we’re looking for a Food Skills Manager to join us on an initial contract until April 1st, with a four year delivery extension.

As the Food Skills Manager, you will be tasked with developing a food skills programme for Wales in time for a launch on April 1st, 2018.
Specifically, once funding has been secured on April 1st, you will take responsibility for the overall delivery of the Food Skills Cymru Programme. You will seek to achieve all targets within the specified timeframe and budgets as set out within the Food Skills Cymru contract.
You’ll be a key driver of results for the contract, selecting, recruiting and servicing regular Food Skills Cymru Steering Group meetings. You’ll support the flow of data between the project and the Welsh Government and third parties and complete effective monthly monitoring and reporting of financial and physical outputs.
Additionally, you will:
- Champion training and upskilling within the Food and Drink sector as a driver for productivity and growth
- Act as a conduit for communications between Lantra and the Welsh Government and other stakeholder parties
- Provide support to the National Director
- Recruit and manage a delivery team as required
Interested? If so, you will need:
- Previous experience of working within Food Processing or Food Supply Chain
- A Degree (or equivalent) in Food or a Science based topic
A leader with great problem solving skills, the Food Skills Manager will take a flexible approach towards work and will be comfortable building effective relationships and partnerships.
Experience of working with Project Steering Groups would be beneficial to your application. Welsh language skills would also be beneficial.
