If successful in your application you will be joining an experienced team of food scientists with a diverse range of backgrounds, this would be a really good opportunity to both impart expertise and learn from some people who are considered experts in their fields.
In the newly created role of food scientist you will be working alongside the senior food scientists and under the supervision of the technical manger on a variety of project based work based around product development (both new and existing). In this varied role you will be responsible for taking briefs from customers then running a mini (or mega – depending on the size of the business!) project for them, you will set up and execute trial after developing the product to a defined specification, you will then feedback to the end client and assist with anything needed. This role will involve spending time both in and out of laboratory and will be massively varied, overall a fantastic opportunity to join a lovely group of people.
To be considered for this fantastic vacancy you will ideally be degree educated in food science (or a closely related subject), you then also have demonstrable experience working within the food industry in a product development role. Any work within Bakery or snack foods (including gluten-free) would be advantageous but not essential.
