Food Sales Manager

Our Essex based client has recently moved offices and are now seeking to add to their growing team.

Salary is £45,000 to £50,000 per annum basic plus bonus and a car allowance.

The sales manager will be required to:

  • To manage all aspects of Sales by acting as the Head of Sales, to drive a business winning and growth culture
  • To own, drive and enhance the new product range and brand proposition
  • To constantly assess new customer opportunities
  • An active member of the Leadership Team which delivers the commercial goals set out in customer Joint Business Plans in an effective and profitable manner for all parties
  • Liaison with customer and internal team to ensure that commercial projects are delivered in an efficient and effective manner
  • To ensure that relationships with Key Customers are enhanced and that our activity 'vibrates’ towards the achievement of their principal objectives
  • To assist in the profitable development the Business Growth strategy
  • Undertake range reviews and on-going portfolio analysis to ensure business performance is maximised
  • Delivery of the Sales and Profitability Budget in line with company expectations
  • Development and implementation of the new brand
  • Effective and clear internal communication on project critical paths to ensure on time in full delivery
  • Development of relationships with Key Customer Buying Teams through proactive communication
  • To ensure that all customer presentations are internally reviewed > 48 hours in advance of delivery
  • Driving a standard approach to external presentations in line with expectations
  • Production of customer contact reports < 24 hours from completion
  • Development and implementation of a 3-year sales plan with resources agreed to deliver
  • Completion of Annual Joint Business Plans with Key Customers to monitor both parties’ performance and present sound analysis to enhance opportunities
  • Ongoing management of the Sales Forecasting model that allows a series of commercial modelling to assist in the accuracy of purchasing decisions and allows financial forecasting
  • Working with the NPD and Finance Teams to create a robust Costing System that allows easy positioning of product development into a commercial and realistic matrix
  • Drive commercial best practice within Commercial Team to maximise returns
  • Assess and deliver new customer opportunities
