Food Law Advisor

Chipping Campden

£23,000 - £30,000 dependent upon experience

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Food Law Advisor to join their team in Chipping Campden. Within this role you will help members consistently and efficiently meet shifting legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a drive to succeed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To work with the whole Regulatory Affairs department to provide support for both the food and drinks industry
  • Clearly explain complex legal provisions, concepts and developments
  • Provide extensive, individually-tailored written and verbal information and advice
  • Regularly lecture to and train specialist staff in food law
  • Accountable for autonomous decisions made on the authoritative interpretation and provision of advice on food law
  • Periodically collate and prepare written summaries of legislation
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of research projects
  • To maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current food legislation, related issues and likely developments
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of research projects

Experience Required:

  • Graduate level qualification(s) in science, law or related subjects
  • Extensive knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement or policy setting over at least 3 years
  • All staff receive appropriate training to support their job function and business needs
